Lox, Bagels and Cream Cheese
Nova Scotia Lox
Fresh bagel, whole wheat if possible
Cream cheese, full fat
Optional extras: onion, tomato
Cut bagel in half. You can either grill, toast, or have it cold. (Toasting the bagel softens it up a bit.) Slather a lot of cream cheese on both halves of the bagel.
Fold and layer at least 3 pieces of lox, adding more if you want.
I like the sandwich with just lox, bagels and cream cheese, but add the extras if you desire.
