Dianne’s Famous Quiche
½ cup Heavy Cream
8 Eggs, beaten
Any kind of Sautéed Veggies you would like to add—my favorites are spinach, mushroom, and tomato OR just basil and tomato.
3 to 4 cups your choice of grated Cheese
Salt & Pepper to taste
Prepared Whole Wheat Pastry Shell (optional)
Preheat oven to 400°.
Bake pastry shell in a pie dish for 10 minutes. Or, for a low-carb recipe, don’t use a pastry shell; just spray olive oil spray onto a glass pie dish.
Beat eggs, then stir in cream.
Place all veggies in baked pastry shell, then add cheese and salt & pepper.
Cover with scrambled egg mixture leaving room at the top for the quiche to puff up.
Bake for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. You can tell the quiche is done when it does not appear runny and does not jiggle.
Optional: Serve with a big green salad or use this as a breakfast entrée.
