Delicious Braised Beef
You can prepare this dish in a Dutch oven or crockpot!

Olive Oil or Coconut Oil, for sautéing and drizzling
4  Sweet Onions, very thinly sliced
6 cloves Garlic, very thinly sliced
4 pounds Chuck, Bottom Round or Top Sirloin Steak
Garlic Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper
1 cup of Oat Bran or Oat Flour
1 (32-ounce) can Italian Tomatoes, sliced or roughly crushed
2 tablespoons chopped fresh Thyme
A few fresh Basil Leaves, torn
Preheat the oven to 325°.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a thin layer of extra-virgin olive oil or coconut oil. Dredge meat in flour and place in hot oil. Sprinkle well with garlic salt. Brown all sides, then place in Dutch oven. In the skillet, with remaining hot oil, add onions and sauté until translucent. Add remain ingredients and briefly sauté, and then pour all sautéed ingredients on top of the meat. Cover Dutch oven and roast until the meat is very tender—about 4 hours. This is a great meal to make ahead of time. You can also prepare this dish in a crockpot!

Serve on homemade mashed potatoes
