6 1-ounce squares Unsweetened Chocolate
1 cup Butter, divided in half
1 tablespoon Pure Vanilla
2½ cups Brown Sugar
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
½ tablespoon Salt
1 cup Walnuts, chopped (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt chocolate with ½ cup of the butter, add vanilla, and stir to blend. Allow to cool.
Cream remaining ½ cup butter with the eggs and sugar. Add cooled chocolate and blend well. Butter a 9x13 inch baking pan or spray it with olive oil, then pour mixture into pan. Bake approximately 30 minutes.
