Pulled Pork Sandwiches
pulled pork
Raw pork, any type (I like a roast)
Favorite bottle of BBQ sauce
Garlic salt
Whole wheat buns
Cole slaw (see simple recipe)
Optional: pickles, cheese or anything you like

Cut the roast generally in some large pieces. This is not absolutely necessary, but I prefer to do this. Place meat in a crock pot. Cover all the pork with the BBQ sauce—and then a little more. You can add a little water, but this shouldn’t be necessary. Lightly sprinkle with garlic salt and cover.  Put on high for 6 to 7 hours, or low for 8-9 hours.

You will know it’s done because when you use a fork, it should easily pull apart. If the pork pulls easily, shred all of the meat and turn crock pot on low to keep warm.

Meanwhile, grill the whole wheat buns—which will make them more sturdy to hold the pulled pork.

To assemble, place a large amount of pork on the freshly grilled bun, then place a heap of Homemade Coleslaw on top. Cover with remaining bun....yum! You can add pickles, cheese, or anything you would like. The classic way just uses pulled pork.
